In 2022, the Middleton Police Department, in conjunction with the Cross Plains Police Department, Middleton Fire Department, and Middleton EMS, hosted our first ever summer youth academy. The 2025 Youth academy will be held from June 16-20, from 8am to noon. As OF 06/04/25, the 2025 academy is full, and registration is closed.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to students who have not previously attended the Youth Academy.
In our youth academy, students learn about different aspects of law enforcement, including:
- Criminal Investigations
- Physical Readiness / Shift Prep
- Report Writing
- Drones
- Building Clearing
- Defense Tactics
- Traffic Stops
- Problem Solving
- Team Building
The academy is open to students going to Kromrey Middle School or Glacier Creek Middle School, and for students entering 9th grade at Middleton High School.
The academy is free of charge and will run from June 16-20, 2025, at the Middleton Police Department from 8am-12pm each day. As OF 06/04/25, the 2025 academy is full, and registration is closed.
