What is a Paramedic?
Paramedics are the highest-trained pre-hospital emergency medical providers. They deliver both basic and advanced life support, bringing the skills, equipment, and expertise needed to save lives before a patient reaches the hospital.

Middleton EMS Standard
Wisconsin law requires at least one licensed paramedic on any paramedic-level ambulance. Middleton EMS exceeds this—staffing two licensed paramedics on every 24-hour shift to ensure the highest level of care.
