June 6 and July 18 AMPAC meetings; Plans for community survey

The next meeting of the Airport Master Plan Advisory Committee is scheduled for Thursday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m. at Middleton City Hall.

The City's recording of the June 6 AMPAC meeting is available here:

Later this year, the City of Middleton will develop and distribute a community survey regarding the airport and its future. In administering the survey, the City will:

  • Collaborate with the Towns of Middleton and Springfield on its preparation.
  • Welcome responses from as many people who wish to participate.
  • Record respondents’ locations by neighborhood / area.
  • Accept survey responses for an ample length of time—at least two weeks.

The City’s Airport Commission has planned to conduct this community survey since the beginning of the master planning process. To date, the City’s consultant (Mead & Hunt) has surveyed airport users and prospective users to help inventory existing conditions, project (forecast) future use, and document facility requirements and requests. City officials anticipate conducting the survey in the fall of 2019 after the consultant has prepared an alternatives analysis with the guidance of the Airport Master Plan Advisory Committee.
