The Recreation Division for the City's Public Lands, Recreation & Forestry Department has won a Silver Star Award for its Candy Cane Hunt at the Pleasant View Golf Course on December 15, 2017. This year's event is scheduled for December 14!

The Wisconsin Park & Recreation Association (WPRA) annually awards its Silver Star Awards for excellence in programming. Entries are judged based on 5 criteria essential to having a successful recreation program: goals and objectives; participation; operational efficiency; creativity and innovation; and marketing. This marks the first Silver Star Award Middleton Recreation has won.

The Candy Cane Hunt is a free outdoor event at the Pleasant View Golf Course for children ages 2-10. The event is one hour in length and involves a flashlight candy cane hunt, candy cane games and hot cocoa. It's very similar to an "egg hunt", and participants are divided by age groups to collect as many candy canes as they could until the candy canes are gone. Please join us on December 14 at Pleasant View Golf Course!
