From Dane County Emergency Management:

FEMA working with state and local officials, will soon open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Dane County. The location for this DRC is being ascertained but expected to be identified in the next day or two. The DRC is where affected residents can go in person and talk with FEMA representatives face-to-face, have questions answered and receive assistance completing the proper FEMA registration forms. All residents seeking assistance are required to register with FEMA. Prior reporting to 2-1-1 or other reporting does not count! This message is imperative. Residents have until December 17, 2018 to apply. Other information regarding the DRC will be forwarded soon.

There are three ways to apply for FEMA assistance/funding:

1) Call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362

2) Register online at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/

3) Visit the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) opening soon.

The office of Dane County Emergency Management (DCEM) will be forwarding other information on a regular basis. Questions, please call Dave Bursack in our office at (608) 266-9051 for assistance.
