Coffee With a Cop
The first Wednesday of October is National Coffee With a Cop Day & we are happy to partner with Common Ground, 2644 Branch Street, in Middleton for FREE coffee, conversation and more from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018.
Officers from the Middleton Police Department will be on hand to meet with community members in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships & drink coffee. Common Ground will also be offering activities for pre-school aged kids upstairs!
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions & learn more about the department’s work in Middleton neighborhoods. The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public occur during emergencies or emotionally charged situations. Those are not always the most effective times for relationship building & some community members may feel officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop helps break down those barriers & allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.
We hope to see you at Common Ground at 2644 Branch Street in Middleton on Wednesday, October 3rd from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM to work with us to enhance community policing through improving relationships between police officers & community members “one cup at a time."
