Traffic Signal Upgrade – Parmenter & University

The City will be performing upgrades to the traffic signals at the intersection of Parmenter Street and University Avenue on Tuesday, February 17, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

All lanes will remain open during the work; however, the traffic signals will be temporarily turned off and stop signs will be used to control the intersection.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. We appreciate your patience as these improvements are completed.

Pedestrians can continue to use the crosswalks as usual. During the upgrade, traffic signals will be temporarily replaced with stop signs, so drivers will be required to come to a full stop in all directions. We encourage pedestrians to remain alert, make eye contact with drivers before crossing, and allow a little extra time, as traffic may move differently than normal. Safety remains our top priority while these improvements are completed.
