Middleton, we need your creativity and love of nature! Ever dreamed of naming a pair of wild bald eagles? Now’s your chance to soar into history (or at least the Conservancy's)!

A majestic pair of bald eagles has made their nest in the heart of the Pheasant Branch Conservancy, and we think it’s time they had names as iconic as their home. We invite the entire community to help us choose the perfect names for this powerful pair!

Name Submission Guidelines 

To keep this uplifting and family-friendly for all, please follow these simple rules when submitting:

✅ Keep it kind, fun, and respectful.
✅ No profanity or suggestive language.
✅ Avoid political or controversial references.
✅ Bonus points for names inspired by nature, conservation, or the beauty of the Conservancy!

Submissions that don’t follow these guidelines will not be considered.

Respect the Nest – Eagle Viewing Etiquette 

These majestic eagles are federally protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. To help them thrive during this critical nesting time, the Parks Department has temporarily closed trails within 300 yards of the nest.

Here’s how YOU can be an eagle-friendly neighbor:

🦉 Stick to open trails and the eagle viewing platform.
🔕 Keep noise levels low (this isn’t the place for karaoke).
🔭 Use binoculars or a spotting scope—no need to get closer.
🚫 Never do anything that might cause the eagles to fly.

Your quiet curiosity and respect for wildlife help keep the Conservancy a haven for these incredible birds and all who call it home.
