City of Middleton Welcomes New Police Chief Steven Thompson
January 24, 2025 – Today, the City of Middleton officially welcomed Steven Thompson as its new Chief of Police during a swearing-in ceremony at the Middleton Police Department’s Court Chambers. The event marks the beginning of a new chapter for the department and the Middleton community as Chief Thompson assumes leadership of the city’s public safety efforts.
Chief Thompson brings 18 years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving as Captain of Patrol and Special Services with the New Berlin Police Department. He has a proven track record of fostering community trust, developing innovative policing strategies, and prioritizing officer wellness.
