Middleton Springs Dr. – Eastbound Lane Closed at Allen Blvd.

Yesterday afternoon, we discovered that an existing storm sewer pipe had been preventing the sanitary sewer main in Middleton Springs Dr. from flowing as intended.  Our road contractor corrected that problem today by lowering the storm sewer pipe so that the sanitary sewer main will be able to drain as needed.  Unfortunately, that unplanned extra excavation required closing the full width of Middleton Springs Dr. today without advance notice.

With fresh concrete placed in this area, the contractor will place steel plates on Middleton Springs Dr. this afternoon to allow westbound traffic to access the homes and businesses west of Allen Blvd., but the eastbound lane will need to remain closed over the weekend.  Please plan to exit the area via Middleton Springs Dr. to the Century Ave. intersection.

Early next week the excavated area can be filled to restore traffic on the eastbound lane.  I apologize for this unexpected inconvenience, but I appreciate the timely repair work done to make the sanitary sewer work again.
