Dear Residents,
As early voting approaches, we want to remind everyone about the rules for displaying political yard signs in our community.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Sign Size: The maximum size for any political yard sign is 11 square feet. If your sign exceeds this, it may be subject to regulation or removal.
- Where You Can Place Signs: You can place political signs on residential property you own or rent. This includes your yard, but the sign cannot be placed on the terrace (between the sidewalk and the street).
- Renters' Rights: If you're renting, you have the same right as property owners to put up signs, as long as they are in the areas of the property you exclusively occupy.
- Safety First: Please ensure your signs don't block windows, doors, or any areas required for safety, and avoid obstructing traffic or pedestrians.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us at info@cityofmiddleton.us. Thank you for helping keep our community safe and respectful during this election period.
