At a meeting of the Plan Commission to be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., at Middleton City Hall, 7426 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, the following matter will be heard:An application by the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District requesting the following two conditional use permits to expand Middleton High School, 2100 Bristol St.:
Sections 10.23(4) and 10.37(5) of the Middleton Zoning Ordinance require conditional use approval for schools located in an R-1 zoning district.
Section 10.23(14) requires conditional use approval for a school building higher than 35 feet, with no such permit to be granted unless all portions of the structure are at least 100 feet from any area on any R-1 zoned property within which a principal structure may be built as measured on a straight, horizontal line from the relevant portion of the structure to the boundary of the buildable area on a plane extended vertically to the sky.
