[ARCHIVED] Bock Community Garden 2017 Openings!

Bock Community Gardens still has a few garden plots available for new gardeners for the 2017 growing season! New gardeners are assigned a 10x20 (200sqft) plot, and have free access to garden tools, wheelbarrows, water, and compost for their garden and wood chips for adjacent walkways. Bales of marsh hay are available for $5.00 per bale. The harvests from fruit trees bordering the Bock Community Garden are available to gardeners. Bock also includes a children’s garden, and we have garden space targeted to grow produce donated to the Middleton Outreach Ministry food pantry.

Gardeners help to care for community areas in the garden and participate in the restoration of the adjacent prairie and forest. Each gardener is required to contribute 8 hours of volunteer time between mid-April and September. There are many 2-hour work sessions scheduled throughout the gardening season that gardeners are able to choose from.

Visit the Bock Community Garden website at the link below to get on the new gardener waiting list, view our garden rules and our plot fees.
