NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO STREETS, CURB & GUTTER, SIDEWALKS, CARRIAGE WALKS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Common Council of the City of Middleton has declared its intention to exercise its police powers pursuant to Sec. 66.0703, Wis. Stats., to levy special assessments upon property within the following described assessment district for benefits conferred upon the property by the improvements to streets, curb & gutter, sidewalks, carriage walks and driveway aprons.

ASSESSMENT DISTRICT: All properties abutting Middleton Beach Road; and also all properties abutting Mendota Avenue, east of Allen Boulevard.

The report of the City Engineer, which includes plan drawings and specifications, an estimated cost of improvements and proposed special assessments is on file in the City Clerk's office and may be inspected there during any business day between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please contact the City Clerk (821-8350) to schedule an appointment if interested.  The report will also be available electronically.

You are further notified that the Public Works Committee will hear all interested persons, or their agents or attorneys, concerning matters contained in Preliminary Resolution 2021-45 and the report of the City Engineer at 6:30 p.m. on the 24th day of January, 2022, virtually via Zoom Meeting ID: 882 6711 7043 Passcode: 853517.  All objections and comments will be considered at this hearing and thereafter the amount of the assessments will be recommended to the Common Council for adoption.
