Pay a Bill Online
Property Tax Payments
Property tax payments may be made online through Xpress Bill Pay. This service is available 24 hours a day through January 31, 2026. No payments are accepted after that date to allow time for bank transaction processing. Do not make property tax payments on your utility account. A convenience fee is charged for online payments ($1.15 for E-check and 3.5% for credit/debit card payments). A $25.00 fee will be billed by the City for any payments that are entered incorrectly (i.e. wrong bank account information) or for any returned items (stop payments, insufficient funds).

Tax Collection Period
The City’s tax collection period will end on January 31, 2026. All real estate property tax payments should be sent to:

Property tax information is available online at Access Dane (accessdane.danecounty.gov). Please contact the Dane County Treasurer for all delinquent real estate information at 608-266-4151.
Utility Bill Payments
Stop: Please make sure you are not signing into your utility bill pay account to make a property tax payment. Tax payments made on utility accounts are invalid and will result in a corresponding credit to your utility account.

Invoice Payments
Accounts Receivable Invoices may be paid electronically via Xpress Bill Pay. There is a transaction fee of 3.5% for credit/debit. There is no fee for eCHeck/Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Alarm Licenses and False Alarm Fees
Residential and Commercial annual alarm licenses and false alarm fees may be paid electronically via Xpress Bill Pay. There is a transaction fee of 3.5% for credit/debit. There is no fee for eCHeck/Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You will need your alarm bill to complete the payment process as both your Alarm ID Number and your Bill Number are required to continue with online payment.
Alarm License and Fee Payments
Parking Tickets
Parking tickets may be paid electronically via Xpress Bill Pay. There is a transaction fee of 3.5% for credit/debit. There is no fee for eCHeck/Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You will need either the license plate number of the vehicle that received the citation or your parking ticket number to continue with online payment. The parking ticket number is located in the upper right-hand corner of your ticket.
Municipal Citations
Payments can be made online by credit or debit card through Xpress Bill Pay. There is a transaction fee of 3.5% for credit/debit. There is no fee for eCHeck/Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You will need your citation number, court date, and amount due to pay online. Please call the Middleton Municipal Court at (608) 824-7370 with any questions.
