Open Swim Hours

Beginning June 8, 2020: There will be two sessions available during open swim hours Sunday through Saturday. Registration opens each Thursday for the following Monday through Sunday.  Registration will close 30 minutes prior to the session start time. No walk ins allowed // Social distancing of 6 feet apart is expected.

Session #1 - 1-3pm
Session #2 - 4-6pm

We have limited capacity available so it is important that you sign up in advance to come to the pool.

If you have a nanny or other caregiver who is coming to the pool, please add that nanny/caregiver to your household in rec desk OR have the nanny/caregiver create their own individual account and then simultaneously register everyone who will attend at the same time.  We would prefer you NOT make a new household with the nanny and the children, as this will cause confusion in future program registrations.

We must clear the pool of all swimmers in the case of lightning and/or thunder. We will reopen if possible. NO refunds will be given for unforeseen closures including weather or contamination.

We are often asked why our pool season is set up the way it is (opening the weekend after school, and closing the weekend before Labor Day). In 2013, we conducted a survey of state municipal (public) pools, and the results showed we are in line with what other municipalities offer. Please view the survey results. Below are the main reason for our season design:
  1. The budget was approved for operation starting the second weekend in June through the last week in August (the weekend before Labor Day). A few years ago it was extended a week in August.
  2. It is required by the State that we operate with a minimum number of lifeguards. We are sufficiently able to staff the pool during the approved times. We are VERY diligent with our staff trainings, and hold multiple safety trainings prior to the opening of the pool. Since the majority of our staff are students, we need to complete the trainings when they are available. Opening earlier would not allow us to hold these trainings.
